Day 27 – The shoes you wore today
My first pair of Manolo Blahniks…compliments of Miss Jen Campoy.
Day 26 – A gift from your family
Being born into the best city in America! Winners of the World Series! Home to Budweiser! Provel! Chuck Berry! And the greatest, kindest citizens I know.
This is so scary.
Have you heard of NovaSure? http://www.novasure.com Women are actually having a surgery to “stop” heavy periods. “It works by removing the endometrium, or the lining of the uterus (the part that causes the bleeding), with a quick delivery of radiofrequency energy. Wow. I can only imagine the side effects and lawsuits this will bring.
I feel like I truly channeled this girl that I...
Day 25 – A gift from a friend
"Work alone is your privilege, never the fruits...
Day 24 – Favorite purchase ever made
This whole outfit!
Day 23 – A school picture
I have every school picture my brother ever took but me…I have no idea where they are. So this is what I got…me on Halloween at Ralph M. Captain School circa 1st grade. I think I was some kind of Indian Fairy Princess.
Day 22 – Favorite cd that you own
Day 21 – A picture of your cell phone
It’s my blackberry and I hate it. It is definitely an inadequate piece of equipment. I know I should have an I phone but I will not pay 120/month that is just stupid. This is my first email phone. I am what they call a late bloomer in many respects. I almost got a sidekick and it is 2011.
Day 20 – Your Grades/Report card
Day 19: One of the Best Days of Your Life
My senior show in college was definitely a defining moment in my life. It was one of the rare times where I was completely connected to the audience and the performance all at once.
Day 18 – Your favorite outfit
Day 17 – Your pet(s)
I have no pets because I don’t like being responsible for anything but myself. I live with a special little girl named Physics but there was no internet today at home, so Mango is the closet thing. Thank you Amanda.
Day 16 – Something embarrassing in your room
It’s a whip. I’m not embarrassed but someone might be.
Day 14 – Something you hate
What have I become
I tend to surround myself with people who have it all. They are fabulous chefs, make tons of money, workout religiously, design T-shirts, tour the country with their husbands and girlfriends and children and so on. Now, here I am, nearing my 28th birthday with none of the above. At my age my Mom was married in a million dollar home with an attractive successful husband, a lucrative job, and a...
Day 13 – Favorite board game
This one is stupid because there is only one answer…Scrabble! And because Michelle feels the same way…I am straight up jacking her entire entry. After searching for the perfect picture, I find quite a few, one which truly is a gem. That one I will save for last, lucky you. :) The fave game is: BOOM! the tote looks like this: what do you heart? you can even play this game...
Day 12 – A prized possession
Lucky for me I have lots and lots of prized possessions. There is no way I could fit them all in the picture…it was awkward enough to take this one. Starting on the top right is a painting that my Grandma drew. She want to Wash U to study fashion design. She didn’t finish because she got married and had my Dad. Her advice to me was “Finish school and don’t get...
Day 11 – Your favorite food
Kaya Toast from Street. I can barely speak right now. This is the most amazing dish in the world. Yes I will say that. Basic components are white bread, coconut jam, butter, sugar, soft egg and dark soy sauce. This dish is godly. This is what Jesus ate.
Day 10 – Your bedroom (In it’s current state)
I didn’t realize this was the picture for the day because I just cleaned my room. I wish you could have seen it before. I could only get one angle so I chose to show you the loveship. Yeah…I painted that mofo and it was not fun. But I do love it. I’m still decorating though.
Day 9 – A talent of yours
Day 8- A picture of the best moment of your life
Wow. This was a tough one. This picture is my whole family (dad’s side) taken in front of the house my Grandma grew up in. The whole family piled into my step mom’s suburban and my dad gave us a tour of all the highlights of his childhood in Quincy, IL. It was so amazing to be with everyone and laugh and cry so much.
I’ve thought about divorce before, of course. Who hasn’t? I had...– Nick Hornby (How to be Good) Seriously this man scares me. It’s like he reads my mind word for word. Kris Kristofferson and all.
Day 7 – Something You love
Day 6 – Your favorite quote, in your handwriting
Day 5 – A place that makes you happy
Slimmons Studio. This class and this man. Oh my lord. So inspiring. I seriously cried. There are about 75 people in his classes. If you are ever in Los Angeles on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday you must experience this. He takes pictures with each person after every class! But if you are a man beware…he will take your shirt off you.
Day 4 – A picture of yourself 10 or more years ago
Ah the glory days. So I was technically 18 and it is true I am 27…though in one measly month I will be 28. But come on. Who can say they were a mermaid? These pictures are hot. I wish I appreciated how perky my boobs were.
Day 3- Favorite book that you own
Day 2 – A photo that makes you happy
It’s day two and I’m realizing that it is going to be challenging for me to follow the rules. This post will involve one subject but a couple photos because they truly all make me happy. There were so many to choose from but these are my all time favorite, shameless dancers. Daddy Roman…”You didn’t get these moves from your Mama…you gottem’ from your...
100 Day Photo Challenge
Because she is hands down my favorite new friend/idol/partner in crime (Ozarkian fo life!) I will possibly do and copy anything this girl does. She finally gave me the url to her blog and I love it of course. She probably doesn’t want me to share it…but I don’t give a damn. http://adventuresinthemaking.wordpress.com/ Don’t judge her for her background taste. Just read...
I have sent my mom the exact same email address about 50 times. It’s kind of ludicrous because all she has to do is copy and paste and somehow she finds a way to misspell it. Then it it sent back to her in error and the cycle begins again because she has a obsessive compulsive disorder with deleting things on her computer. The woman does not have ONE email from the past. It is possibly one...
Five Car Stud
Exhibit at the LACMA by Edward Kienholz. I visited LACMA this past weekend for the first time. Five Car Stud was by far my favorite exhibit. This was a powerful piece. Five cars with blaring headlights shining on four white men tying down and ripping open a black man. White women sitting in the passenger seats cringing. The room was cooled to a desert night. “With Five Car...
She could characterize this feeling as a crush, or the beginnings of something...– Nick Hornby (Juliet, Naked)
